Things to do in Cotton Tree
For locals, Cotton Tree on the Sunshine Coast is heaven on earth and for local, interstate or international visitors, it is a beautiful place to be. Located next to the Maroochydore River, there is a wide variety of water sports to participate in like kayaking, fishing or hiring a boat. Take a casual stroll - or fast walk - on the wide footpath around the edge of the river and enjoy the many views including the Pacific Ocean and Pin Cushion Island. Basketball courts, ping pong tables and swimming pool are available to the public whether young or young at heart. There is a jetty, bbqs with tables and plenty of grassy areas to relax or play.
Have a hit at the tennis courts or go bare foot bowling at Club Maroochy, just one block behind the Esplanade.
There are many fine dining restaurants to choose from whether you are visiting during the week or on the weekend. The Boat Shed, famous for its views and food, is one restaurant to add to your dining list and you can choose to sit inside or under the trees by the river and watch the world go by. Across the road, Envy has delicious coffee, cakes and healthy meals.
On a Sunday, visit the main street markets with stalls of local produce as well as arts and crafts.
If a beauty session is in order, enjoy a Thai massage at Sea Breeze Thai massage, or if you want to look as young as you feel, try the premium cosmetic injectable treatments at Defy Aesthetics.
There is a large selection of holiday accommodation including holiday units or the caravan park which offers tent sites to holiday cabins. No matter where you stay or what you do, you will find Cotton Tree relaxing and friendly and well worth the visit.
Whether you come for a week, a weekend or just a day, don't miss a stop at Masa Masa on the Esplanade! - just a few steps north from the main street in Cotton Tree.
